Saturday with Brian Regan

I returned to CityWalk on Saturday evening...
First we saw a very stupid movie called 1408 .. dumb dumb dumb!..
I lost brain cells watching it.

Then we ate here, because I LOOOOOVE shrimp and Bubba Gump has plenty o' it.
I love getting the shrimp platter thingie with all different sorts of shrimp..
yum yum
It was actually daylight when we went here but I forgot to take a pic so
I took one on the way out...

After we put the kidlets in for another movie (POC3), we headed over to the other side of City Walk to the Hard Rock ..... to see.....

Brian Regan! I LOVE this man...
I even sent Cindy a Brian Regan cd last year and I don't think she
ever listened to it.... bad Cindy.
Sold out, as usual. (good thing we bought tickets 6 months ago!)

As usual... I have my camera on me. So we stood in line with our tickets ready to go (see above).. and then we were searched... and they saw the camera... and then I had to get out of line.. to stand in another line...

What kind of scam is this??!!

I asked the guy why do they want to collect the cameras and make us pay for their return? He said so we don't take photos... uh.... I reminded him everyone has cell phone cameras.. "why don't you take them too??!!" I'm such a trouble maker.

Anyway.. I love city walk at night.. so here are some more photos

This one is on my agenda... I've always wanted to see Blue Man Group

Friday night was........

Meet the Bride, "N"

8 girls (all nurses from work)
Helping "N" celebrate her last night of freedom
Where am I, you ask?
Taking the photo, silly!!
I realized I wasn't in these pics because I took all the photos..
however, a couple of the other girls had cameras and will be
emailing their pics to me.. I'm almost afraid to see ... :0)

My girls.. "K" and "C"

Their names are the same but spelled differently

Guess who

We've had a 'guest' at our hospital for the last several days trying to keep her from giving birth before the US open was over... since her husband came in 2nd and then flew directly to Orlando, he joined her at my place of employment (snicker) and they had their little girl. I won't put names in here because I'm sure that's some sort of patient confidentiality... but I'm sure you guys can figure it out.

Just know, they had an ENTIRE section of L and D to themselves! Security was tripled as well.....

we didn't even do that when other famous people have delivered here..

it was still kinda cool to see them (mom, dad and baby) :-)

that's all

Stuff in o' box!

Cindy recently traveled to China and brought back tons of stuff for everyone! Thankfully I'm part of 'everyone' :-)

James went to Japan .. he also brought back schtuff for his peeps.

A map of orange county detailing where home/work/other people live.. so when I get there I won't get lost? OR ... I'll be able to map out my destinations ahead of time? So I turned it over..

A ha... Cindy found me a new apartment home... LUXURY apartment home.. my bad. What is she trying to tell me?
Ooooo maybe someday, I'll be on the OC map!

I would have guessed this came from James, since he's so into Hello Kitty... haha.. but I don't know. It's not long and black... So it can't be from James.

Ok now this DID come from James... he said so. Ok he gave me a hint already. I am going to try to eat my cheerios with them tomorrow morning.

I LOVE this giraffe!!! I definitely know this was from Cindy... she knows I love giraffes... not just any giraffe, but all sorts of giraffes from wooden to ceramic. Oh, someday I want a real one too.

This is where I get confused. It's a Hello Kitty shotglass (for my irish creme?) ...and the other side says Beijing Olympics... which is China of course, not Japan (where James was).. ok so I guess this came from Cindy. Anyone wanna play quarters?

This is really cute.. I want to wear this to work tomorrow. I'm trading in my scrubs for this shirt. I AM going to a fling before the ring event next Friday night...hmmm, maybe then?!

This'll come in handy when I travel to China... sometime. It was interesting trying to read it though.

A keychain from China... I switch up my keychains from time to time.. and what do you know, I JUST took off my coach and yankee keychain, which made my keys a lot lighter. Now I'm going to stick this one on there.

So here it is... my box o' schtuff! Hope you enjoyed. And don't mind any of the blue tape that may have appeared in these photos.. I'm getting ready to paint.

Thank you CINDY!!! and JAMES!!!

Things I can count on, fo sho.

Like.....

Traffic. Always. Never ending. For the love of God we can put man on the moon, gps our way around and talk to multiple people at ONCE in several different geographical locations but we CAN'T solve traffic problems.

Thing3 slamming her door. Being nice when she wants something and snapping all the rest of the time.
Thing1 being super quiet and understanding.
Thing2 asking for money. Not directly. But in the "I can fly home and see you Mom.. but I don't get paid for 15 days" sort of way. It works mostly.
Thing4 being super sweet in the morning and always answering the phone nicely when I call to wake them up (when I'm at work).

The news depressing me. So many murders, rapes/attacks, home invasions, thefts... road ragers. I'd rather watch the Simpsons or That 70s Show at 10pm instead. I decided if I'm going to watch the news, I'll do it in the middle of the day, so I have hours to recover from what I just heard/saw. If I watch it late at night, I can't get to sleep or it's a bad sleep. If I watch first thing in the morning, then I have a crappy start to the day.
They should invent the GOOD NEWS ONLY network!!!!

Flat Amanda never letting the 2 hour trip (both ways) go... while she was in town.

Signing on to see an IM from James that was sent hours before. Mostly it says "Jordan!!!!".

Bananas always being 49 cents a pound at Publix.

A good feeling when I drive past lilac trees and the sunroof is open.

Witty banter with Cindy. Therapy with Cindy. Advice from Cindy.

At least one CRAZY or demanding patient daily.

The song "girls just want to have fun" making me laugh and singing along.

Salivation when hearing the words "shrimp" or "lobster".

My heart stopping when I get to the top of a roller coaster, right before it goes dooooooooown.

Conversations with old friends.. starting where we left off, whether it was weeks, months or years since we last talked.

Sleeping with my "squishy pillow". It's a down pillow I've had for years... expensive but I love it. It's been kidnapped before but it always comes home to Mama.

The sadness I feel when I see people sleeping on the street, even though I know several of them made a choice, but I think of my soft bed... compared to the concrete.

Skepticism when it comes to dating and trusting.

How good Baileys tastes when mixed with french vanilla ice cream and cinnamon. (had some lastnight). Yum.

My neighbor three houses down parking right in front of my house because he doesn't want to block his mailbox, otherwise the mailperson won't deliver the mail. It's a big white ugly conversion van. I don't mind if he parks it there and then moves it after the mail runs (he's retired, has nothing else to do).. but sometimes he leaves it there for days. Ok, so I purposefully parked in front of his mailbox a couple times to send a message when he does that. That's my bad. I guess I should just ask him to move his hunk of white crap nicely.

The smell of clean unused PAMPERS to make me smile. I don't know WHY... they just smell GOOD to me. I thought about taking some from work and just leaving them in my car. I had to put "clean and unused" in there because I know YOU PEOPLE.
