What's new with you?

Holidays: When do you normally decorate for the holidays? (if you decorate for the holidays) ..... I usually start pulling things out right after Thanksgiving. I worked consecutive days following Thanksgiving, so this weekend is dedicated to decorating the homestead. I'm used to having a "real" tree, but decided last year to get a 7ft faker with lights. At least I don't have tree bristles all over the living room!!

I got an itch for a new blog look again. I'm surprised at how many of you keep your blog the same... there is nothing wrong with that, but I just don't have that kind of restraint.

Match: I've decided to *hide* my dating profile for awhile. Overwhelming is one word to describe it. I have way too much on my plate right now, so something's gotta give! I need to focus on other things for a few weeks. I have decided to start playing tennis with a Matcher (yes he was in the Matchbook) .. this ought to be interesting.

Work: It's hard for me to imagine that people in Orlando have nothing better to do than procreate, but it's true. We have been extremely busy with central Florida's newest additions... I think we hit 1600 born last month. We may top that in December..... I would say they should take up a hobby, but then again, they keep me in business.

Kids: You can hardly tell thing4 had the chicken pox last week.... he's almost all clear. He wants an xbox bundle for Christmas (already ordered and on it's way). thing3 wants money.... money... money... and Hollister gift certificates. I can't believe the Things are almost all grown... I guess that's what I get for having kids so young.

Bachelor Dreams

I've been home the last couple days with Thing4 as he battles the Chicken Pox... so we've been catching up on a little tv. I've always been a fan of "The Bachelor" and lastnight's episode (finale) was no exception, other than falling asleep before it even came on. Thankfully, I TiVo it. I did open my eyes for about 3 minutes just in time to see Deanna get rejected and sent away by the Bachelor. Neither Deanna or Jenny were my pics, so it really didn't matter to me who went home. I thought Sheena was a better match for him out of the entire bunch, but she was sent packing a few episodes ago.

Around 3 am, I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, so I decided to watch the entire Bachelor episode, even though I already knew Deanna wasn't chosen. Thing4 woke up and watched it with me. During the final episode he repeatedly stated that he could imagine himself married to either girl. He told both of them that he'd "never met anyone like you before" and he had them both, equally, believing that he would choose them. So when it came time to choose the girl, the limousine pulled up and Jen got out. I was a little surprised because usually the one he sends home is the first to arrive. He gave Jen a speech about how he's never met anyone like her before and how amazing she is... then told her he couldn't return her feelings and therefore was sending her home. What??!! I KNOW I saw him send Deanna home.... or.... did I dream that?!! I must have! He also told her that "he wants more..." Whatever that means. When Jen left (crying of course, couldn't understand "what went wrong")... Deanna arrived.

He gave Deanna practically the same speech he gave Jen, telling her he's never met anyone like her before.

Then he took a deep breath... took a little walk... and came back and told Deanna that it wasn't 'right' and that he should love her as much as she loves them. WHAT.

Ok, so I wasn't dreaming afterall! I guess this would be the first Bachelor ever to not pick either of them at the end. I'm just as confused as those two girls. He repeatedly told Jen to open up and show her feelings so he'd know how she truly felt. He continually said how much they had in common and how attracted he was to her.... said she was everything he ever wanted in a woman and would make a terrific wife. But then told her he wants "more"?! Good God.... more what??!!! Well thank God there is an "After the Rose" show tonight because *I* want answers!!!! I really liked this Bachelor, even moreso than the 9 or 12 before him... I'm just as confused as Deanna and Jen!

St. Augustine 11.11.2007

I know it's been a over 2 weeks. Sorry. I think if I use the word "busy" again, someone will shoot me. On November 11, I went with Match.Nasa to St. Augustine for the day.
