You can't effectively run from snakes after you've taken Benadryl. This I learned lastnight.

Without being a perv, what does it mean when you dream of snakes? Lastnight I had vivid dreams that this huge snake was chasing me around my house. I eventually ended up in the bathroom on the other side of the tub, basically hanging on to the window ledge and hoping I was outsmarting the snake. It stopped in the middle of the bathroom... looked at me (I'm sure) for a minute and then slivered over to the tub, up the tub and around the edge of the tub. That effer... so I had to jump from the tub to the shower and climb on top of the glass and sit there until someone came to save me. I don't think anyone bothered to save me in my dream because I woke up and went to work. I was worried that the snake would be under my vehicle (parked in the garage) and would jump out at me when I tried to open the door. I wonder if this is a side effect from taking Aciphex. I'm on a 30 day trial of the stuff because I think I might have an ulcer. I'm not sure WHY I even have an ulcer but then again... so because of the ulcerative problems I think I have, it's caused the histamine levels in my stomach to start pumping uncontrollably, which then causes swelling and occasional hives (and most always at night)... so then I have to take Benadryl. Benadryl knocks me OUT.. I'm drowsy for several hours after taking it and it almost always makes me fall asleep. I think this is why I wasn't able to outrun the snake like I wanted... the Benadryl made me sluggish.

Monday rant.

Not that this is going to be my blogging schedule, but it appears I only post on Mondays this year. I might as well keep with that and post something today. I'm not sure last week really counted, since it was just a youtube I shared with you. Oh well.

I'm feeling pretty good today. For one, it's my 4th day off in a row (back to the grind tomorrow). I got up and went to the gym this morning and took my frustrations out on some equiptment. I wasn't really frustrated, I'm not sure why I just said that. I'm finding I actually get more done at the gym when K isn't there. When she's with me, we talk too much. I'm not going to tell her that though.. and you better not either. She and I "worked out" yesterday, but it wasn't any good because she was late. I had already put in 29 minutes on the treadmill at a 5.0 incline at 4.5 speed. Shut up, I have asthma. When she arrived and wanted to do another 30 min. (our usual), I didn't feel like it, so I walked on the one next to her while she exercised. We moved to the cardios and gabbed some more. I made up for it today though. I went to the lifestyle machine and stuck my arm in it so it can take my blood pressure and do some other things to me. My b/p was 85/59. My heart rate was 90. My f*cking BMI was 24. Let's face it, I'm never going to have %10 body fat. Never ever.

Someone wants back in my life. I care about this person, but I don't trust him. I can't even allow myself to love this person. It really doesn't bother me at all.. but it bothers him. This person doesn't understand the magnitude of his multiple deceptions and how that has contributed to the fact we are NOT together. He reads this blog.. but don't let that stop you from commenting. He says he doesn't read it anymore but I know better.

I've stopped all communication with this person several times in the past but he's a weasel and figures out ways to semi get back 'in'.

I did my taxes last night and I'm one of those people that are going to be delayed due to the AMT. Lovely.

I'm not really bothered too much by it though, apparently the IRS is going to start accepting our returns early to mid February. That's what I get for taking classes and working.

Did any of you hear about the 70 vehicle pile-up on interstate 4 a couple weeks ago? It was probably 15-20 min. from me. I wasn't affected by it and I certainly wasn't on I4 at 4 am but it involved 20 semis and 50 cars. Not only were they dealing with fog, but there had been a "controlled burn" in the area the previous day that got a bit out of hand. So the combination of fog and thick smoke created a blanked and these vehicles all drove into each other. I guess there is some controversy because the FHP said that smoke/fog "wasn't a factor" and then later it was reported that the FHP's were on the news saying they couldn't see their hand in front of their face if they held it out, which was a contradiction to what they previously stated. They launched an investigation (people died in this accident) and the FHP started writing tickets to the people in the crash for reckless op!!! A few days later, it was demanded (I'm sure from attorneys) that the FHP hand over their audio and video tapes from that morning. Sure enough, there were several on there saying how thick the smoke and fog was... how they couldn't even see, but failed to detour traffic. Ok.. so do the crash victims still have to pay these ridiculous citations??

One guy was trapped in his vehicle with pretty severe wounds. They were having extreme difficulty tryint to excavate him from the metal mess that was once his car, so at one point, he had an FHP or rescue worker dig for his cell phone and call his wife, so he could tell her goodbye. The FHP admitted they didn't think they would be able to remove him alive. They eventually did. I don't know how it turned out though.

From the mouths of babes......

Ok. It's next year.

Not my house... but several houses looked like this. Decorating a palm can be painful!!

Sometimes a little nudge is all I need (thanks Cindy) to remind me that I even have a blog. Ok, so it's definitely 'next year'.. a week into it. So far, 2008 has been fantastic, so keep your fingers crossed, because this is supposed to be a fabulous year.

How was Christmas and New Years for everyone? Awesome for me, although I worked most of it. I can't really complain, afterall all, all I do is *play* with babies all day. ;)

I just wanted to share a few things that I received for Christmas. (click on photos). I also wanted to share this amazing weather with everyone. No humidity this week!!! I've had my windows open for a few days and I LOVE it. When you live in Central & South FL, this is the only time of year when you can truly air out your house and enjoy a nice fresh breeze. A couple weeks ago, we were still in the 80s and then an arctic chill teased us last week with a couple days that didn't make it out of the 50s.. (which the Floridians loved). We actually got to wear some "winter" clothes. I always find it funny on days like this because you can definitely tell the tourists from the Floridians. WE are in jackets, long sleeves and pants... and the tourists are wearing bikini tops and shorts.

So, my windows are wide open.. the iPod is docked in my stereo and playing a mix of everything I have. My neighbors probably think I'm crazy, but now they know for sure after hearing Michael Buble one moment, Cyndi Lauper (girls just wanna have fun), black eyed Peas and then James Taylor. :)

I'm sure they're yelling out their windows "pick a genre and stick with it!" Uh, no. That's what makes me, me.

Oh, I also have seen just about every movie there is to see lately. My favorite last week was PS, I love You.

I was draggeg off to see Charlie Wilson's War (which I nearly fell asleep in) but although it was extremely slow moving for most of the movie, it did have a pretty good story line. Things I didn't know that are allegedly true. Also, one of my other favorites was The Golden Compass.. can't wait for the GC2.

Now you know......

Books I read when I was a child. This explains a lot.. doesn't it?
